UFS 201 ~ 5th Vocabulary Entry

    Meaning : The period of greatest prosperity or productivity

    Meaning : Reduce in scope while retaining essential elements

3. Beleaguer
    Meaning : Surround so as to force to give up

4. Belligerent
    Meaning : Characteristic of an enemy or one eager to fight

5. Cacophony
    Meaning : Loud confusing disagreeable sounds

6. Chimera
    Meaning : (Greek mythology) fire-breathing female monster with a lion's head and a   goat's body and a serpent's tail; daughter of Typhoon

    Meaning : Cause to lose courage

UFS 201 ~ 5th Reflection

This week we have done our group activities 'Ghost Story Telling'. Our group represent story about Mystery of Karak Road'. The other group also represent their ghost story too. It was fun and also scary because they was put are horrible make-up on their face. It just a scared and Madam Atee also being afraid of their custom and also the make-up. The sound system was also scary because the sound was same with ghost sound.

UFS 201 ~ 4th Vocabulary Entry

1. Logical
    Meaning : Reasonable or thinking in a sensible way.

2. Temporary
    Meaning : Lasting for a short time; not permanent..

3. Spatial
    Meaning : Connected with the position.

4. Compound
    Meaning : A thing consist of two or more separate things combine together.

5. Disrupt
    Meaning : To stop something happening as or when it should.

6. Prediction
    Meaning : Saying what will happen or what somebody thinks will happen.

UFS 201 ~ 4th Reflection

On this week, we do not do any activity, but Madam atee told us to copy the notes. This is a boring day for me. I feel very sleepy and there is no mood to do any work. after that, we learn about Model Verb, Preposition, and Reported Speech. Modal Verb only exist in helping form and it cannot act as the main verb. The preposition usually indicates the temporal, spatial or logical relationship of its object. Reported Speech is the exact meaning of what someone said but the exact words. Sometimes I'm also can not remember all of this. But I try my best to remember it.

UFS 201 ~ 3rd Vocabulary Entry

1. Media planner
    Meaning : A job title in an advertising agency or media planning and buying agency, responsible for selecting media for advertisement placement on behalf of their clients.

2. Peak time
    Meaning : Time period of greatest demand on the carrier's system. Generally corresponds to all periods except late nights and weekends.

3. Neon sign
    Meaning : Glass tube lighting in which a gas and phosphors are used in combination to create a colored light.

4. Tabloid
    Meaning : A newspaper having pages half the size of those of a standard newspaper, typically popular in style and dominated by headlines, photographs, and sensational stories.

5. Trade journal
    Meaning : A periodical, magazine or publication printed with the intention of target marketing to a specific industry or type of trade/business. The collective term for this area of publishing is the trade press.

6. Window dresser
    Meaning : Someone who decorates shop windows.

7. Zapping
    Meaning : To kill or destroy as if by shooting.

8. Press agent
    Meaning : A person employed to organize advertising and publicity in the press on behalf of an organization or well-known person.

9. Effective reach
    Meaning : The number of people who will see an ad the most effective number of times. The most effective frequency.

10. Gate fold
      Meaning : An oversized page in a book or magazine folded to the same size as the other pages but  intended to be opened out for reading.

UFS 201 ~ 3rd Reflectoin

Today, I am so proud and pleasure with my lecturer because she often motivated us every classes before she started her learning and teaching especially it remind myself. Although it’s not related to my attitude but I will keep it as an advice and encouragement. And then, I have learnt about Conditional. Before, I ever learnt it in last semester but it kind to learned it again for everlasting information. The Conditional have composed by two parts. First, one that expresses the condition that introduced by the word “IF” and commonly known as “IF CLAUSE”. The other one is that expresses the consequence. It also known as the “RESULT CLAUSE” because it tells the result of condition. For example, “ I you work hard, you will succeed”. Conditional consist three different types, they are 1st conditional, 2nd conditional and 3rd conditional. The 1st conditional is talk about a POSSIBLE situation or in the future. Then, 2nd is talks about IMPROBABLE or IMAGINARY situations, now or in the future. And the last one, the 3rd conditional talks about a situation that didn’t happen in the past. It always imaginary that will never happen and it’s only talks about the past. Besides that, we also learn about Active voice and Passive voice. The Active voice is the normal voice that we use most of time while the Passive voice is less normal voice. In class, I just concentrate and pay attention with learning and lecture. My contribution with my group classes is composition a song that contain by certain phrasal verb and cooperative looking for story telling script , ghost story script and ghost soundtrack.

UFS 201 ~ 2nd Vocabulary Entry

1. Occasionally
    Meaning : A particular event or the time at which it happens.

2. Peeling back
    Meaning : Remove a thin covering or layer from.

3. Hot press
    Meaning : A device in which paper or cloth is pressed between glazed boards and hot metal plates in order to produce a smooth or glossy surface.

4. Slumbering
    Meaning : Sleeping.

5. Banshee:
    Meaning : A wailing spirit or “death omen” that will appear to be in two different places at the same time.

6. Crisis apparition
    Meaning : An apparition that is seen when a person is seriously ill, seriously injured or at the point of death.

7. Dice test:
    Meaning : An experimental test in which a subject attempts to influence the fall of dice. This study is used for the investigation of psycho kinesis.

8. Frank's box:
    Meaning : A device used for contacting spirits through the use of radio frequency. These devices or so  called Ghost box also known as Spirit box or Frank's box are used as an electronic medium for the purpose  of direct communication with a spirit.

9. Harbinger
    Meaning : A ghost of the future that brings warning of impending events.

10. Lucid dreaming
      Meaning : A dream state in which one is conscious enough to recognize that one is in the dream state and                                                        is then able to control dream events.
